Using an Outdoor Gazebo Canopy During Off Season
When summer is gone does that mean your gazebo canopy is now useless? Not exactly. It really depends on what you mainly use your canopy for. If it was to merely stay cool and keep the sun out of your face while you enjoy your time hanging out in the backyard, then perhaps it’s time you store it away to keep it from being damaged by the weather. If, however, you use it just as a cover to protect yourself and items beneath it, then you can still use it even though summer may be over. After all, it is an outdoor gazebo canopy.
So what can you use it for now that the sun is less intense? You can still use it to block the UV rays. Just because the sun is no longer bright enough to blind you because of the clouds, it doesn’t mean you are safe. UV rays can come in through your windows as well and cause skin problems. For this reason, even if it’s not particularly sunny outside, you will still want to make sure you put some sunscreen on as well as keep yourself shaded and protected from the sun.
Another scenario where gazebo canopies are useful is if you have some sort of outside dining setup. Sometimes it’s just nice to be sitting outdoors and enjoying a meal under a canopy. What you will probably want to do just to make things a bit more comfortable is to add some lighting if it’s nighttime or perhaps a fan if it’s during the daytime. It doesn’t have to be sunny for it to be hot. Even humid weather can make being outside a bit uncomfortable for many people. By adding a fan or even one of those misting fans, you can make the experience a lot more enjoyable.
You can even use an outdoor gazebo canopy to help you stay dry if it starts to rain as well. These are mainly used when there isn’t any other choice. Many companies will use canopies for outdoor events such as job fairs for example. If you use this at home, unless if it’s necessary, it’s probably best to just take down your canopy and store it. A picnic on a cloudy day can be ruined if it starts to rain but if you bring your gazebo canopy along with you, it may very well save the day. So on or off season, you can still use your canopy.
